Team coordination
One message.
The right chief.
The Chief of Staff is your starting point when you do not know which specialist should take a task. It routes your request to an existing chief and passes the message into that chief’s conversation.
Describe the work rather than the department.
You can ask about cash runway, a launch campaign or a competitor comparison without first designing a whole team. The router considers your existing chiefs and the request. An explicit @mention lets you choose a known specialist when you already know who should handle it.
Create a specialist when the role is missing.
Routing does not mean every possible specialist already exists in your account. If a suitable chief is unavailable, create or choose one with a title and a useful responsibility. Your plan limits the number of custom chiefs, while the routing chief provides the entry point. Start with the jobs you repeatedly need done.
Keep the handoff visible.
Once the request reaches a specialist, continue in that chief’s conversation. The team shares your workspace and business memory, but the specialist’s conversation gives the task a clear place for its progress and follow-up questions. Board meetings can involve your existing team when a question needs more than one perspective.
What to bring to your chief
- The task and what a completed result should contain
- Any relevant business facts or saved context
- An @mention if you want a particular existing chief
Try this task
Help me decide which existing chief should review our startup cash runway. Route the full request to the appropriate specialist; if that role is missing, tell me what chief to create.
Sign in for a written first result before payment setup. Computer work needs an active trial or paid plan and remaining allowance.
Common questions
Does the router create every chief automatically?
No. It routes to the team you have. You can create specialists within your plan’s capacity.
Can I talk directly to a specialist?
Yes. Open that chief’s chat or use a supported @mention to make the handoff explicit.
